What does cocaine feel like? If you’re asking yourself this question then you’ve come to the right place. I’m a former poly-addict meaning I was addicted to many different drugs, one of which was cocaine. Because of my extensive experience, both good and bad, I can accurately answer, “what does cocaine feel like?”
What Does Cocaine Feel Like?
The Positive Effects:
Cocaine is commonly insufflated (snorted). Upon administration quality cocaine will cause the entire face to go numb. When you see DEA agents tasting a fragment of coke they’re testing to see if it makes their tongue numb which will occur instantaneously on contact. Along with the face going completely numb, there is a wave of edgy excitement. Imagine that exciting feeling you get when you find out you got the job, but you’re getting that feeling out of nowhere for no reason. This excitement feels like an energy that feels great to release through talking, sex, or recreational activities.
The Neutral Effects:
Cocaine has a very short duration of action of 30 minutes to an hour, this can be both positive and negative. Though most will see this as a negative, some prefer the roller coaster jumps in euphoria each time cocaine is ingested. Cocaine causes a “drip” where you can taste the cocaine rolling down the back of the throat, most find this taste pleasant some don’t. The best way to describe the taste and smell of quality cocaine is a very subtle paint thinner. There’s a very fiendish need for more almost constantly, this can be perceived as a negative or positive. It was like having an itch and being able to scratch it felt amazing, or being dehydrated and hot then handed an ice cold water.
The Negative Effects:
The negative effects of cocaine usage tend to start at the comedown. You feel extremely fiendish for the substance trying to gather spects off the table for one more line. Because of this, unless you’re rich you’ll have an empty wallet. Once you used a substantial amount, your nose will become so clogged you can’t breathe through it enough to get a line in. This will cause you to result in snorting heaps of water hoping to clear out enough space for more cocaine. You feel overcome with anxiety and shakiness, your body is tense and aches, this is commonly referred to being “cracked out”. It’s all of the stimulant effects of cocaine without the euphoric dopamine release.
