Hi everyone. My husband has been struggling with meth addiction for 4 years now. I’m just looking to connect with other loved ones of meth addicts or meth addicts in recovery. Anybody who has advice or just knows what I’m going thru. I feel very alone in this as I don’t use any drugs and nobody else I know uses.

    • Welcome 🙂! Let us know if you have any questions.

    • There’s very little anyone can do. I don’t help addicts, at best I educate them by answering questions where I relate my experience to theirs but at the end of the day they have to be willing to do whatever it takes to be sober. Want only got me so far, I had to be honest, openminded, and willing. It is a false hope to think I can inspire…[Read more]

I am a mother of 4, be 3 are not with me they are with their father. I have my youngest who is 3. I recently went to rehab back in May for 30 days. Planned on staying longer but I had to come out for my son. I thought I was strong enough. For about the first month I went hardcore in an outpatient program, which was good. Then I fell back into my…[Read more]

    • There can be physiological reasons, I know months clean feels like forever but in reality it’s not a lot of time to let your body and mind recover. Psychological causes can be that you’re use to having a substance trigger manic episodes so ‘normal’ doesn’t feel so great and there’s no quick escape. I think you’re doing great and I’m proud of you.…[Read more]

      • That makes sense, I did relapse & feel horrible about it. I just feel like a failure as a mother. My girls have no compassion when it comes to this, once they think or know I’m using they just drop me. Which I totally get, it just hurts that my kids don’t have unconditional love for me as their mom. Which for me as an addict wants to say F it at…[Read more]

So whatcha got for craving reduction, CG Kid?
Btw, I follow you on youtube and you’re very inspirational. Was surprised to see you on here, hence why I joined.
Just got through yet another agonizing week of withdrawals, only to face the inevitable almost worst part—cravings.
Tried naturopathic, going Western meds this time around including: B…[Read more]

    • Man that’s awesome, you’re doing everything right. Cravings, I’d just keep saying I can get high tomorrow. I dunno why that helped me stop the mental obsession. Whatever works works, I remember struggling 3 months in but one day they went away and never came back. Don’t give up before the miracle happens 🙂. Id look into amino acid replacement…[Read more]

      • You got back to me! Thank you.🙂 Well clearly the cravings/inner voice that tries to dominate and makes me teeter on the edge of schizophrenia, and makes me feel HORRIBLE for people with legit OCD who have to deal with it on a day-to-day basis for their whole lives, has won again.
Why didn’t I recollect my postponement motto earlier, when I felt…[Read more]

Thank you for the site CG and thank you to mishell for your support.

As a parent of a 19 yr old son who’s addicted to meth, guilt is a very strong issue to deal with. He is not able to live at home, and now I’m at a point where I will text him our love and that we will support him to go get help, but his usual response is thank you, love you…[Read more]

    • I think my family got healthier and cutting me out was just part of that. They got support through Al Anon and read some of the literature, realized it didn’t matter what they did, cut me off because I was dangerous to have around. It did help me when they started healing.

      • Thank you,
I’m not sure i am always strong enough to fully cut ties. I will always tell him I love him, but sometimes it is so painful to watch him lose everything.

I just keep watching your videos and staying in touch with this site. I also have a parent group that meets weekly and that does help. We’ll just try to stay strong. I hate…[Read more]

Hi guys, new to the site, but have been watching CG’s videos for a while and I find them so supportive. I used meth for almost 2 years. It was never an every day thing for me, when I first started I didn’t like it, and swore I would never pick up again. But then I picked up a few months after and was hooked. It was definitely something I did to…[Read more]

But i think the main thing w coming back to life after stopping meth is that maybe the old u doesnt come back and if we seek that old person we get nowhere cus previously that person isnt who your meant to be. For me i had to accept that a new me had to emerge in…[Read more]

    • It’s all about the work you put in, I think it’s important to read the literature (this is something I put off). I go to Alcoholics Anonymous and for years thought I was getting the program just by being in meetings, when I finally cracked open the book and studied it my perception completely changed. I was willing to do what it said because it…[Read more]

Good morning, so I am a new user & have alot of unanswered questions or just unclear answers since no one in my circles know of my new hobby. Any “vets” or long term/experienced users that wouldnt mind helping me out with info?

    • Sure, what kind of info are you looking for?

      • How ironic lol, I actually did try reaching out to you thru text after finding your youtube vids, but never received any response?

        • Ya I get 200 a day and occasionally I miss a few

          • Lol oh wow yea i can definitely imagine how crazy that is. But i had started using just recently in March, to help with a medical issue involving my weight. I am fully aware of the amount i intake, how often, etc. I keep log of it so that i know when or if im getting toi deep or too carried away. (Tryin to be smart about it) lol my concern is that…[Read more]

            • It sounds like you’re developing a physical dependency. In the case with alcohol, it requires hospitalization. Have you tried abstaining from all substances? If not, do you find the idea of abstinence difficult? If you have abstained from using, what was the result?

          • I rarely am on anything. Yes because i dint want to develop an addiction where i wasnt in control of it. I make myself go completely clean for 7 days every 3wks. So 1 wk of each month i dont touch it, do it, i dont even think about it really. So no its never been hard for me to just stop doing it. I make a note if i start craving or thinking about…[Read more]

Hi, guys, I am new here. I have been using meth for 1 year and 4 months. I am trying to find my way to quit while I am preparing huge national board exams. Hey, I’m Hayley. I’ve been using for a year now. I have a wife and both of us are struggling to get clean. We always say “this is the last time” but it’s never the last time. This cycle is tearing us apart and me apart as a person. I don’t know where to start in recovery.

    • Hey girl. It is a tuff cycle to break. Dont beat yourselves up. Takes alot of strength and support. Msg me if you wanna talk more about how me n my man were able to do it. I educated n scared myself out of it and found support. He fell in deep af and it took alot of praying but after finally losing everything he stopped too. Love you guys. Hope to…[Read more]

How does one quit? I don’t understand. There’s nothing in my life that makes me want to not get high bad enough to not do it. Especially if I start coming down. I hate this stuff so much and all I do is think about quitting while at the same time all I do is get and use all day every day. What is the thing that matters more than it? I think I’d…[Read more]

So, I’ve worked my own recovery for essentially co-dependency. Intellectually, I know why my friend would stop speaking to me in active addiction. Still, can you guys share your experiences of sort of ”choosing” unhealthy relationships over healthy ones?

Hello fellow shard tards. I have a question. I’ve been on this group since I joined shameless protocol. But I can’t respond to anyone’s post under groups. There is no reply arrow.
Do we have to be friends to respond?
@philip are you aware of this? I have noticed you can reply to any of the posts

    • I’m looking into this now

    • Yeah, this was a bug that wasn’t affecting me. It should have been resolved just now. Thanks for bearing with me guys! As soon as substantial revenue comes in I’m going to re-invest in fine-tuning and adding functionality.

      • It’s all good. We’re all grateful for your work man. I hope I can contribute as you have in my own ways.

    • Damn bro, that’s a difficult situation. It seems pretty apparent you want to quit and have found strength in Judaism, maybe focus on that and introduce other methods of finding strength. AA and NA aren’t for everyone, have you considered alternatives like SMART recovery?
